Everyone views Christmas differently. For many, Christmas is a time where families can reunite and share their stories. To some, it is a time for celebrating just being alive. To others, it is a time for remembering and/or reflecting on their faith, whatever it may be. To me, it is the time for showing individual family members how much I care, even if sometimes I can be distant. The process and time spent getting excited, whether on what to buy or even what to make a loved one, Is amazing! This feeling I look forward to each and every year.
Family and friends, I’m afraid I will have to show you my love in other ways this year as I will be spending no money on presents. Instead I have set up this appeal to raise money for those whose Christmas is a time of struggling to make ends meet. This appeal is focused on Fordingbridge and its surrounding villages. I will be working with The Salvation Army to help make this happen. In Fordingbridge we are anticipating a lot more families will be referred than last year to the food banks. COVID-19 is having an enormous effect on everyone's lives, but especially on those who are/were already struggling. So If you wish to do something for me this Christmas, please donate whatever you would have spent on me to this appeal.
If you are not an acquaintance of mine, hello! ⭐Thank you so much for reading this and If you are interested in helping, please do. Any help you can give will be much appreciated.
I have set up the Christmas Dinner Box Appeal to raise money, so we can deliver a box of Christmas groceries/food Items to families who are referred and requesting help. This will take place on Christmas and I will be working alongside the Salvation Army, Fordingbridge. They are already doing such a tremendous job at helping the local community, so working together will be fantastic.
